Free Community Health Service Event Returns to Long Beach – August 30, 2025

Breast Cancer Awareness, Dental & Vision Services, Vaccines, and More – All at No Cost
Long Beach, CA – The 4th Annual Free Community Health Service Event will take place on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at New Hope Baptist Church, located at 1160 E. New York St, Long Beach, CA 90813, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Presented by New Hope Home, Hands of New Hope, The Pink Journey Foundation, and Healing California, this vital community event offers free health services to the public — no insurance required.
In 2024, this event served nearly 200 community members, including 34 women who received free mammography screenings, with 3 referred for follow-up care, and more than $60,000 in free vision services was provided — a testament to the life-changing impact of this initiative.
This year’s event continues its commitment to community wellness and early detection, especially as part of its Breast Cancer Awareness outreach.
FREE Services Include:
- Mobile Mammography (Women 40+ only)
- Dental Services: Exams, x-rays, cleanings, fillings, and extractions
- Vision Services: Eye exams and free eyeglasses
- Glucose and STD Testing
- Blood Pressure Checks
- Voter Registration and More!
No insurance required – photo ID matching your name is the only requirement.
All services are first come, first serve – registration will close once capacity is reached.
Please bring water and snacks, as wait times may vary depending on the service.

About the Organizers:
This event is a collaborative effort by New Hope Home, Hands of New Hope, The Pink Journey Foundation, and Healing California, with a continued focus on breast cancer awareness and preventive care. Healing California is once again providing critical dental and vision services to underserved and vulnerable populations in and around Long Beach. Together, these organizations are dedicated to breaking down barriers to healthcare access by offering free, high-quality services, education, and resources to help every individual lead a healthier life.
